Neurodivergent children who are Autistic or suspected to have ADHD may benefit from additional or different support than neurotypical peers when it comes to interacting with other kids. When children can stay engaged for longer periods of time and are ready to play and communicate using more language, we can introduce different strategies to help them build deeper relationships with others.
Participants in this workshop will:
- Continue to develop their repertoire of social coaching strategies that can be used in the classroom
- Discuss numerous ways to help children engage with adults and peers to share ideas and play in more advanced ways that are fun for everyone
