Welcome!

Child & Family Collaborative (C&FC) was established by and for the community of professionals in York Region who provide early development and child care services to children aged prenatal to twelve. Committed to principles of prevention and education, C&FC creates proactive opportunities for professional development, life-long learning, research, early intervention and investment in the early years – all aimed at improving early development and child care services for children aged prenatal to twelve and their families in York.

Along with our professional development announcements, job postings, interesting articles, we are  introducing on line registration and RSS feeds.  Stay connected through Facebook and Twitter!  In time, we will add pictures of events, and many more add-ons as the site allows. 

We are also open to suggestions so please visit our comments section and let us know what you’d like to see.  Keep in mind that, like the former Child Care Committee, the Child & Family Collaborative (C&FC) is run by volunteers.  We will do our best to accommodate your requests.

RSS Feed Connection Instructions

These instructions are for Microsoft Outlook:

1.  Copy this link:  http://www.cfcollaborative.ca/feed/rss/

2.  Open your Microsoft Outlook

3.  In your Mail Folders, you should have an RSS Feed folder; right click your RSS Feed folder, click on Add New RSS Feed.

4.  Paste the link copied from  above into the box.

5.  Click “Advanced” box and set up your feed to suit yourself.  Please ensure the box indicating “automatically download enclosures for this feed” is checked.

6.  Click O.K. which returns you to the small box with the link, click “yes”.

7.  Almost immediately a new folder called  Child & Family Collaborative will be created within the RSS Feed folder in Outlook  and you will see the latest news downloaded to this file.  New downloads will be added as changes are made to the website.
